Mike Maurine, President


Mike has been named President of the Long Company effective Oct 3, 2015. Mike joined the Long Company in September 2013 and worked with the Purchasing Group and the sales side of the Co-op most recently as Director of Sales & Purchasing. Mike previously held positions with Ventura Foods, AB Mauri\Fleischmann's Yeast, Horizon Milling and Best Brands in various locations in the US.

Mike's membership in associations includes American Bakers Association, Carolina Bakers Association, American Society of Bakers, National Association of Flour Distributors, and various Retail Bakers Associations. Mike also served on his community's Charter Review Commission. Mike graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and currently resides in Douglasville, GA with his wife Laure Skluzacek, a long time Delta Airlines Flight Attendant. Their daughter Samantha graduated from Ohio University and joined Delta Airlines in 2014.

Dan Inman, Director of Quality, R & D


Dan has 35 years' experience in the food industry with more than 25 of these years in the bakery/grain-based industry. Dan received his Bachelor's Degree in Food Science from Purdue University. Dan started his career at the Quaker Oats Company with positions in quality assurance and production supervision. Dan left Quaker Oats to become the Quality Assurance Manager at the Ph. Orth Company. It was at the Ph. Orth Company that Dan found his passion for the baking industry. From this passion, Dan has held numerous positions over his career with responsibilities in quality assurance, research and development, production, engineering and sanitation. Past companies include: Pizza Hut Inc./Pepsico, BCW Food Products, Pizza Blends Inc., TNT Crust/Tyson Foods, Ralcorp Frozen Bakery Products and most recently J. Rettenmaier USA LP where Dan has spent years perfecting bakery products with added fiber.

Michael Hull, Director of Food Safety & Sanitation Services


Mike has over 30 years' experience in the baking industry. He worked for 10 years at Stroehmann Baking Company, with his last position held being Sanitation Department Manager. Mike worked for 13 years at Quality Bakers of America as a Food Safety Inspector/Consultant. He joined The Long Company in 2004, and is trained in HACCP, AIB FSMA Pathway to Compliance 2016 and is an SQF & BRC Practitioner Mike can assist in developing necessary programs needed for GFSI certification, and can provide 3rd party audits in preparation for certification. He can also assist in developing Food Safety Programs including, but not limited to: Master Sanitation Schedules, SSOP's, Housekeeping Programs, Traceability Programs, Allergen Programs, and Integrated Pest Management Programs. Mike can provide GMP type Food Safety Inspections and provide manpower evaluations, to determine exactly how many people are needed to clean your facility.

Dean Duzik, Food Safety & Sanitation Consultant


Dean has over 35 years' experience in the baking industry and has his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Dean started his career with Interbake Foods LLC. and over 31 years he held various positions in Finance, Purchasing, Supply Chain and Operations with his last position being VP of Operations and Finance with multiple plant responsibilities. In addition, for 6 years he was the Plant Manager for Ralcorp Holdings, in their frozen foods division, producing artisan bread and rolls. Dean understands the critical role of sanitation, food safety, product quality and continuous improvement of systems and processes and is HACCP certified. He successfully led two operations to achieve and maintain SQF Level III and BRC certifications utilizing cross functional teams. Having been involved in audits throughout his career Dean brings a dual perspective from both the auditor and management viewpoint.

Mark McNail, Field Services Engineer


Mark is an AIB graduate with over 28 years of experience in bakery Engineering. He began his career with Continental Baking Company as a shift engineer, shift supervisor and Assistant Chief. Interstate Brands purchased Continental Baking in 1996, during that time Mark was awarded the Chief Engineer’s position, which he held for 10 years. After leaving Interstate Brand’s he accepted a position as Director of Engineering, Working for The Sunshine Boys owners of Purity Bakery and Centerville Bakery in the Bahamas. While at Purity he over saw new equipment purchasing and installation, training of all engineers from line mechanics, shift supervisors, Assistants and Chief Engineers. Mark joined The Long Company on November 24th, 2013 as a Field Service Engineer and is looking forward to servicing the Baking Industry.

Bill Cook, Field Services Engineer


Bill is an AIB graduate with over 33 years of experience in the baking and allied industries. He began his career with Continental Baking Company in 1982 working on projects for different bakeries. He accepted an offer as Assistant Chief Engineer for Continental Baking Company's new Pomona California Plant start-up. Since then he has worked his way to the position of Plant Engineer for companies like Campbell Taggert, Dairy Farmers of America and Safeway Inc. Bakery's as well as perused an Industrial Engineering Degree and Allen Bradly PLC Programing. Bill has assisted in and overseen everything from New Plant Start-Ups to New Multi-Million Dollar Production Line Installations, varied Equipment Automation, upgrades for Production Processes and training programs for Maintenance Departments and Management. Bill is an ITC certified Level 1 thermographer, does OSHA Oven Compliance Inspection Certifications for CFR 1910.263(l)(9)(i) and Oven Inspections for Mechanical Certifications. Bill is also proficient in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, CADD, Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.

Belinda Willoughby, Executive Assistant


Belinda joined the Co-op in 2011 as Billing Supervisor before being reassigned to Executive assistant. She has more than 20 years of experience in the fields of billing administration and account receivables/payables. Belinda has worked as a Rebate Administrator, Billing Specialist and Senior Payment Processing Specialist. Her education includes course work in Business Management.

Joan Schwartz, Administrative Assistant


Joan Schwartz joined The Long Company in 1998 as an Administrative Assistant in the HR Department. Prior to her current position, Joan worked as an administrative assistant for several companies and has also held positions as PR Manager and Advertising Manager. Joan graduated with a BBA from Bernard M. Baruch School of Public Administration of City College of the City University of New York (CCNY). She majored in Secretarial Studies and minored in Psychology.

Eddie Davis, Director of Human Resources & Financial Consulting Services


Eddie began his career in the baking industry at Rainbo Baking Co. in Johnson City, TN, while attending college at night. After a transfer to Pueblo, CO, he was transferred to the Cambell Taggart Corporate Office in Dallas, TX. His career with Campbell Taggart lasted over 30 years. After Cambell Taggart, he went to work for Michael Mead & Associates, a computer software company. Eddie joined The Long Company in 2001 as Financial Services Consultant and was later promoted to Director of Human Resources and Financial Consulting Services in 2005.

Duane Bull, Food Safety & Sanitation Consultant


Duane has been in the baking industry since 1964 and has worked in a bakery for 32 years.  He worked for Quality Bakers of America for 7 years, performing Sanitation, Production and HACCP Audits in Mexico, Central and South America.  Duane has worked for The Long Company for eight years. He has training in HACCP, SQF, and BRC.  He can assist bakeries in setting up a program or performing third party audits to prepare for certification.  Duane believes that following the basics will prevent large problems and that teamwork between departments is essential. "Quality is not an accident. It is the result of following the basics and controlling the controllable."
